Portable Hardness Tester

The EquoTip is the original "dynamic" portable hardness tester, this classic design was introduced in 1990 which makes it the grandfather of "dynamic testers".
The EquoTip portable hardness tester is easy to operate, accurate, portable and has stood the test of time.


Tests take only a second. Hardness values are displayed on the EquoTip portable hardness tester digitally and converted to Brinell, Rockwell B and C, Shore and Vickers scales. A built-in data recorder is a standard feature.
A new feature of the EquoTip portable hardness tester is included that allows you to adjust measurements to match your standards is now included in the instrument.  The only consumable item on the Equotip portable hardness tester the Impact Body, which will last for about 20,000 tests and can be rebuilt.  Includes Impact Device D. This is the standard Impact Device.

The measuring range of the D Device ranges from the equivalent of 80 Brinell to about 68 Rockwell C.  The applications for this device are broad and include - Steel Rolls, Dies, Welds, Forgings, Shear Blades, Mechanical Components, Molds, Some Pipe and Plate, Rod Stock etc. Material which can be tested with this device - Cast Steel, Irons, Tool Steels, Aluminum, Yellow Metals (brass, copper), Stainless Steel
