Eddy Current Conductivity Meter

The EC5000 is a basic, simple and reliable eddy current conductivity meter for the detection of surface cracks on many ferrous and nonferrous metals, and for metals sorting. The EC5000 is a very portable, battery operated eddy current conductivity meter producing a variable operating frequency range of 55-240 kHz. The sophisticated solid-state electronics of this eddy current conductivity meter offer a high degree of sensitivity and operating characteristics found in instruments costing hundreds of dollars more. The eddy current conductivity meter consists of three basic operating controls; Lift-Off/Frequency, balance and sensitivity. Set-up and operation is quick and straight forward. Crack detection is indicated by an up-scale meter reading for ferrous metals, down scale for nonferrous metals. An audio alarm may also be activated for additional defect signaling. The general purpose probe, provided with the EC5000, may be used for many ferrous and nonferrous applications. Other probes are also available. The entire eddy current conductivity meter weighs less than 2.5 pounds (less battery charger) and is housed in a rugged molded case that is dust and moisture resistant. The case lid may be removed for convenient handling and operation. A storage area for the battery charger, probe and cable are provided within the case. The EC5000 comes complete with Probe and Cable, Battery Charger and operating instructions.
